In a month, “Empire” will return for its second season, following a record-breaking first season. It seems as if “Empire” never left, as Jussie Smollett and Yazz have taken to their roles of Jamal and Hakeem. The two often perform and ripped Teen Choice last night.
Series creator, Lee Daniels, discussed “Empire” season two and he said this season would be less opulent. A major shift is Lucious (Terrence Howard) being in prison instead of out being the Empire boss. At the end of last season, Lucious was arrested, set up by his sons.
Now, the sons, Hakeem (Yazz) and Andre (Trai Byers) are preparing to take “Empire” over with Jamal (Smollett) now running the show. Caught in the middle is their mother, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), with Anika (Grace Gealey) in the mix. A lot is being said about “Empire” season two and Hip Hop Vibe has some general spoilers for the show.
