Erykah Badu accuses The Black Eyed Peas of stealing concept of her “Honey” music video for their “Yesterday” visuals

Erykah BaduOne of the most creative artists in the game, Erykah Badu has delivered various concept projects and singles over the years. The last time she enjoyed any mainstream success was the 2007-2008 period. This was when she released “Honey,” which did very well.

While “Honey” is not as notable as such singles as “Call Tyrone” and “Bag Lady,” it was a strong single for her. This single is what has Erykah Badu posting on social media. As everyone knows, The Black Eyed Peas recently reunited and dropped visuals for “Yesterday,” which has people talking.

Even more talk came when Erykah Badu offered her opinion on the music video. She was friendly about it, but she said “Yesterday” reminds her of “Honey.” Erykah Badu went as far as to share both videos to let the people decide.
