Many of the top artists of the late 1990s and early 2000s have preserved themselves by being untouchable. When he was still a viable hip hop artist and star, Eminem decided to step away from the game. Taking five years off, Eminem delivered albums back-to-back.
Just when fans got used to Eminem being back, he was gone again. But, he returned in 2013 with a new album and has since been “away” from the game. Last year saw Eminem release a compilation album, which included some new songs.
This year, Eminem was rumored to drop a new album. The album is likely not coming, but Eminem does have a new single, “Phenomenal,” which is doing well. Stephen Colbert recently sat down with Eminem on a public access channel he is using for his new show, “Only In Monroe,” where they spoke on his rap style, “Phenomenal,” his lyrics, and much more.
