Terrence Howard wins #BETAwards for Best Actor for Lucious Lyon on “Empire,” met with praise on Twitter

Terrence Howard BET AwardsLee Daniels has done his thing with film, making a classic with The Butler, so he set his sights on TV. The end result was “Empire,” a new generation soap opera based on hip hop. Starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson, the show was the top rated show on primetime.

Terrence Howard definitely brought the intensity in the show’s lead role of Lucious Lyon. A powerful businessman/rapper, Lucious Lyon owns the rap world via “Empire.” Millions tuned into “Empire” and have stalked the show in the months its been off the air.

It was only right for “Empire” to be included in the BET Awards, not only in performances, but up for awards. Both Terrence Howard and Jussie Smollett were up for Best Actor, but Howard won the award. He received a lot of praise on Twitter for his efforts and his win.
