Just when the world got used to Janet Jackson being a thing of the past, she decided to change up. Last month, Janet Jackson revealed she had a new album in the works. The album doesn’t have a title, but the conjoining tour is called Unbreakable.
Janet Jackson immediately became the center of rumors, as it was said that she is taking part in the BET Awards. Fans wanted Ciara to be a part of it, meanwhile Janet Jackson scored a label deal with BMG. This label deal allowed for Rhythm Nation Records to be born.
Promo for the 2015 BET Awards is in full swing and Janet Jackson is confirmed to be taking part in the show. Because of this, it made sense to reflect on some of Janet’s older music, when she was truly on top of the game. So, Hip Hop Vibe revisits Rhythm Nation 1814 with the single, “Rhythm Nation,” for this week’s Wednesday Throwback.
