Tonight, TV One definitely got hip hop heads to tune in with their double header, featuring DJ Quik and Jay Z. Obviously, Jay Z is going to have a lot of people talking, due to his status in the game. Easily, Jay Z is the biggest rapper in the game, even now.
Jay Z managed to bridge the gap between what is perceived as “hood” and what is considered corporate. He did this, while overstepping a lot of people who helped him early on. This certainly did not earn Jay Z any points with his initial following.
Kim Osorio is included in the documentary, “A Genius Leaves The Hood,” and she told it like it was. Her words were a little harsh on Jay Z, but she made it clear where she was coming from. The fans watching the show who were on Twitter connected with her and gave her all kinds of praise.
