Thus far, French Montana has kept a low profile, but it looked like he was getting ready to take over in the summer. The first French Montana single of the year was “Off The Rip,” featuring N.O.R.E. and Chinx. This song is only a few weeks old, but it feels much older, as Chinx died.
Chinx was preparing for a major breakout, as he has a lot of people behind him. Unfortunately, Chinx was murdered before he was able to realize this success. But, French Montana is now doing this thing for his memory and he was shooting the “Off The Rip” music video this weekend.
French Montana shot the video and he had cameos from a couple of hip hop legends. Showing up to support French Montana in Chinx’s memory is Busta Rhymes and Ja Rule, but drama broke out during the shoot. This drama had nothing to do with those two, but there were five other people who were arrested.
