More and more often, Jay Z is orchestrating some of the biggest moments in hip hop history. This began back in 2001, with what he did at Summer Jam, continued with the “I Declare War” concert, and was taken to new heights last weekend. During his TIDAL concert, Jay Z reunited the Roc.
Roc-A-Fella Records became home to several sub-labels before the company fell apart. The dynasty was coming to fruition and Philadelphia had the top spot, as Nas so generously pointed out. State Property had the strongest buzz, led by Beanie Sigel and Freeway.
Recently, Freeway sat down with BOOM 107.9 in Philadelphia to talk about performing with Jay Z. Last month, Freeway talked to Hip Hop Vibe about his time with Roc-A-Fella when they were running the game. But, in this interview, Freeway revealed he was nervous about performing with Jay Z again, after all these years.
