Throughout his career, until this year, Young Thug always expressed his admiration of Lil Wayne. While Wayne never got “bae” status from Thug, he was the man he cited as his primary inspiration. But, Young Thug associating with Birdman and the Lil Wayne beef made for a bad mix.
Young Thug indirectly became a target of Lil Wayne’s, especially when he planned to release his own project, Carter 6. This project was going to be released before Lil Wayne could drop Tha Carter V. The album title was eventually changed, but Young Thug and Lil Wayne are now rivals.
Doing what he can to tick Lil Wayne off, Young Thug took things to the next level when he went on Instagram, this morning. Previewing a song off his upcoming album, Young Thug decided to give himself a new nickname. His new nickname, for those who ask it, is Lil Tunechi.
