Dr. Dre 2By K.B. Tindal

Originally, when Dr. Dre left Death Row Records, he abandoned the rights to all of his music. This included The Chronic, Dr. Dre’s iconic solo debut album. But, Dr. Dre ended up regaining rights to his music and pursued it, legally.

Dr. Dre left Death Row Records and built Aftermath Entertainment, becoming a fixture in hip hop. On top of everything else he has accomplished, Dr. Dre is close to being hip hop’s first billionaire. Now, it seems like everything Dr. Dre does ends in success.

In an attempt to shut down Death Row Records in their continued decision to distribute The Chronic, Dr. Dre filed a lawsuit. Last year, Dr. Dre filed this lawsuit and there has been a lot of back and forth in court. Finally, there is a conclusion to the story, as Dr. Dre has won this lawsuit and he will now receive 100% profit of all revenue generated by The Chronic.
