At the start of the 2014-2015 NBA season, it looked like the Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors were on a collision course to play in the Eastern Conference Finals. Red hot starts had them on top of the NBA East. But, both teams had rough midseasons that slowed them down.

Led by John Wall and DeMar DeRozan, respectfully, both teams still managed to make the playoffs. Playing the 4/5 matchup, the Raptors and the Wizards seem evenly balanced. This season was big for both teams in surpassing previous franchise win totals.

The Raptors and the Wizards definitely brought the entertainment in game one of their playoff matchup. Evenly matched, they lived up to this, as it took overtime to decide their game, as Washington managed to win 93-86 in Toronto, with Washington’s Paul Pierce leading all scorers with 20 points. Rounding out the box score, Bradley Beal scoring 16 for the Wizards and teammate, John Wall also notched 10 points, meanwhile the Raptors’ Amir Johnson and DeMar DeRozan dropped 18 and 15 points in a losing effort.
