For the past seven years, Kevin Durant has been the heart and soul of the Oklahoma City Thunder. He literally helped the franchise grow from nothing to being one of the NBA’s top teams. Without him, the Thunder have struggled to maintain a playoff spot, even with Russell Westbrook.
The fast-rising Oklahoma City Thunder reached their peak in 2012, when they reached the NBA Finals. In their first-ever Finals, the Thunder lost in five game to the Miami Heat. This followed some intense matchups, where words were exchanged.
A lot has changed with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Miami Heat since that time. Kevin Durant is a little over a year away from free agency and he seems committed to the Thunder. But, popular ESPN columnist, Bill Simmons, feels as if Kevin Durant could do like LeBron James and end up leaving his team for the Miami Heat.
