Anyone who is familiar with urban comedy knows all about Chris Spencer and not just because of “Real Husbands of Hollywood.” Before he had the number one show on BET, Chris Spencer was on “The Jamie Foxx Show,” among other programs. He has made his rounds over the years.
Chris Spencer was recruited by Troy Byer to be a part of her new comedy film, I Really Hate My Ex, available on DVD on April 14. Serving the film as both producer and actor, Chris Spencer left his mark on the movie, as people will see. The movie has a concept that Chris gravitated to.
Last week, Chris Spencer talked to Hip Hop Vibe about I Really Hate My Ex, which is officially released tomorrow. During the interview, Chris Spencer talked about how he got involved with the movie and his reaction to it. The conversation also saw Chris Spencer briefly mention “Real Husbands of Hollywood.”

Recently, we talked to Leon and we asked him how he ended up being a part of this movie. Can you talk about how you got cast for it? I am a producer in the movie, so that’s how I got cast for the movie.
How did you guys come up with the title and concept for I Really Hate My Ex? This is the genius work of our director and producer, Troy Byer. She wrote a movie about women who go out and kidnap her boyfriends. It was dope.
Given what the men went through, what advice would you give to men dealing with breakups? Be nice. Be careful, if you can’t be friends with your ex, just be sure you’re respectful because she might snatch your ass.
Outside of I Really Hate My Ex, you are the creator of “Real Husbands of Hollywood” on BET, what should fans expect from the upcoming fourth season of the hit series? Expect more of the unexpected. It’s Kevin (Hart) getting cookier with the success going to his head. Some old friends cross some new ones, you will see.
