Kendrick Lamar talks “To Pimp A Butterfly,” “i,” Tupac, Dr. Dre, and more with “The Breakfast Club” [VIDEO]

Kendrick Lamar Breakfast ClubIt’s been a long journey for Kendrick Lamar, as he has returned with his highly anticipated sophomore album. The new album comes almost three years after good kid, m.A.A.d. city, his debut. To Pimp A Butterfly is the name of the album and it’s filled with Tupac references.

Last summer, the first single leaked called “i” and it became the official anthem for the NBA. Outside of basketball love, the song didn’t receive too warm of a reception elsewhere. But, Kendrick Lamar still had an active fan base waiting for the new album.

Kendrick Lamar stopped by “The Breakfast Club” this morning, to talk to the trio, Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy. In the interview, they discussed the new album and the Tupac undertones. They went on to discuss depression, “i,” Dr. Dre, and much more.
