By most accounts, Damon Dash was the loser of the Roc-A-Fella split, as he went bankrupt and Jay-Z took over Def Jam. But, anyone who actually talks to Damon Dash knows he is far from a loser. His own account, the only one that matters to him, has Dame as the winner.
Damon Dash has silently been rebuilding his empire over the past few years. At one point, Dash was running Roc-A-Fella Records, again, but the label has since reverted back to Jay-Z. Meanwhile, Dash has moved on to ventures in art and film, with Kanye West as one of his partners.
This morning, Damon Dash appeared on “The Breakfast Club” and sent social media into a frenzy after going off on DJ Envy over a Jay-Z question. Replacing Charlamagne Tha God as the one who pisses off the guest, DJ Envy continued to talk to Damon Dash alongside Angela Yee.
