The hip hop industry is one of the biggest industries in existence, which means many different personas are floating around. One that has built a cult following is Smutty, who has a unique journey. His life has led him from Harlem to Pennsylvania to Savannah, Georgia.
Much credit is given to the forefathers of hip hop, rightfully so, and the moguls, again which is fitting, but the street guys played their part. This is the case with Smutty, a legitimate, former, pimp. Many elements in hip hop take from the pimp game, Smutty really lived that.
Since he has gone legitimate, Smutty took his way with words and his history and merged them to create the Industry Pimpin mixtape series. Currently, the series consists of three tapes that can be found online. The most-recent, the third edition, was released back in 2013, but there is much more coming from Smutty in the future.
