An artist who had a strong comeback in 2014, but still went overlooked was Big Sean. Last year saw him release “IDFWU,” which became a major hit. In 2015, this record is one of the first hits of the year and DJ Mustard produced the record.
Originally, however, DJ Mustard made the beat with Justin Bieber in mind for the track. Ultimately, Big Sean ended up with the track and he has done his thing with it. Many thought Big Sean aimed the track at his ex, something he denied.
DJ Mustard, though, is all over the place and is cementing himself as the next major hip hop figure from Los Angeles. MTV recently caught up with the game’s hottest producer and he discussed how his hit with Big Sean came to be. In the latest clip released, DJ Mustard spoke on how the track went from being for Justin Bieber to being Big Sean’s hit.
