During the height of the funk era, Rick James reigned supreme and he took things to the next level. The world knows Rick James best for his hit single, “Superfreak,” and his infamous line, “I’m Rick James, bitch.” But, there is much more that he brought to the world.
TV One has gone into the careers of many of the biggest pasts artists in both hip hop and R&B. Through their series, “Unsung,” TV One has brought the spotlight back to many artists. Last season, a Rick James episode was expected to air.
This episode is now set to hit TV One on January 14 at 8 pm EST. Here, the life and times of Rick James will be documented. The Rick James episode is set to kick off what TV One hopes is the best episode of “Unsung,” yet.
