This week was a bit awkward, with the New Year coming right in the middle of it. Something the Hip Hop Vibe audience will see in a few days prevented the Video of the Week from coming on Friday, as it always does. But, there were some notable videos that dropped.
Late in 2014, Wale made moves towards getting The Album About Nothing finished. For a little while, it looked like the album would drop before the end of 2014. Wale decided not to rush, as “The Body,” the lead single with Jeremih, was being worked.
Early this week, Wale dropped “The Body” music video and it has done very well in the five days it’s been out. The music video is the final thing Wale offered for the year of 2014. Meanwhile, his album is finally coming on March 31, complete with Jerry Seinfeld features.
