Traction began to be made in the Miami hip hop scene when Slip-N-Slide Records emerged, coming close to a decade after 2 Live Crew. This is when Trick Daddy rose to prominence, after running with Luke’s crew. His success soon led to Trina, Slip-N-Slide’s first lady, being featured on his records and gaining fame.

Trina went on to enjoy a solid five year run in the game, before slipping into the background. This is where she did mixtapes and linked with the likes of French Montana, among many others. Now, Trina is preparing to release her first album since 2010, due in 2015.

The single, “Fuck Love,” featuring Tory Lanez, is doing well and Trina made her rounds with the media in promotion of it. ThisIs50 Radio talked to Trina and she plugged her upcoming album. She also talked about 50 Cent mentioning her in his Young Buck diss, before talking about female rappers and being with Lil Wayne and Kenyon Martin.
