This can’t be life, isn’t this America, people? At the very least, this is 2014 not 1964, yet black men are being murdered by white men who have vowed to protect and serve the public at an alarming rate. It is said that every twenty-eight hours, another black man is killed by a law enforcement officer.
The latest victim is Rumain Brinson, a native of Phoenix, Arizona. His death occurred, as he was dropping off food for his daughters and someone reported a suspicious looking person in the neighborhood. Unarmed, Rumain Brinson was shot and killed by the officer called out to check the scene.
However, the Phoenix community is not taking this lying down, as they are tired of the unarmed men being killed in their area. A vigil and rally for Ruman Brinson is being held tonight in Phoenix in his honor at Civic Space Park. Several members of the Phoenix community have spoken out.

“The shooting death of Rumain Brisbon by Phoenix police has sparked
outrage in our community. The slaying of this unarmed black man and the
unjust profiling that proceeded it are abominable offenses. The only thing
worse is the impact of his tragic death on his family and little
