HHV Exclusive: Grafh talks “88 Crack Era” mixtape and golden era in hip hop

A couple of weeks ago, Grafh was dominating the game with a series of releases leading up to 88 Crack Era, his new mixtape. The project is very New York-centric, but pays homage to the entire golden era of hip hop. Features on the tape come from Raekwon, Murda Mook, and Vado.

Grafh teamed up with DJ Ted Smooth for the release of the mixtape. Last week, Grafh attended the 2014 Global Spin Awards, where DJ Ted Smooth took home an award. Of course, Grafh came through to show DJ Ted Smooth and all of the other DJs major support on the big night.

Hip Hop Vibe was present on the red carpet at the 2014 Global Spin Awards and caught up with Grafh for a quick interview. He discussed 88 Crack Era and the concept he was going for with the project. In addition to the golden era sound, Grafh wanted to recapture the entire essence of the era.
