Hip hop fans got a major treat when they learned Royce Da 5’9 joined forces with DJ Premier. The two came together and it was somewhat unexpected, but they are delivering some good music on a consistent basis. Thus far, the people are loving PRhyme and the new material they are putting out.
Their surprise formation is beginning to take its official shape, as their project is only weeks away. PRhyme is releasing its self-titled project on December 9, meaning it is facing off against some major releases. The way they have all come together, it makes for an interesting conversation.
Along with Adrian Younge, Royce Da 5’9 and DJ Premier sat down with HotNewHipHop to speak on their PRhyme project. Royce Da 5’9 discussed how he has transitioned from being with Slaughterhouse and doing their EP to doing this project. He and DJ Premier then went on to speak on how they have sampled Adrian Younge’s music for the project.
