Review: Joe Budden – “Some Love Lost”

Some Love LostBy Tierra Anderson
Hip Hop Vibe Writer

Slaughterhouse’s very own, Joe Budden, is back to making great music with his latest EP, Some Love Lost. The seven track compilation is journalism in rap form. It consists of life, different love, and humanity, three components missing in current hip hop.

Some Love Lost features the soulful voices of Emanny and Felicia Temple. Budden bares his heart and soul on Some Love Lost. On this compilation, the Jersey native discusses his drug addiction, as well as his troubled relationships with ex-girlfriends, Kailyn Garcia and Tahiry Jose. This will be the only way for fans to get an update, because he left “Love & Hip Hop.”

Joe Budden brings intricate lyrics, a steady flow and descriptive verses to Some Love Lost. Ghetto gospel is brought to the streets and gives music lovers an earful. Some Love Lost is bound to be one of the hottest and realistic projects of the year.

Hip Hop Vibe’s Rating: 8/10
