Two years ago, during this period of time, Trinidad James had just taken the game over with his single, “All Gold Everything,” a breakout hit. The song was very catchy and Trinidad James immediately became a star. His success carried over into 2013 and Trinidad James soon found himself courted by major labels.

In the end, Trinidad James joined Def Jam, as they signed him to a $5 million deal and it looked like things were taking off. Months into the deal, Trinidad James released his mixtape, 10 Pc. Mild, which did well. But, Trinidad James disappeared from the spotlight after the release of this mixtape.

Trinidad James ended up being released from the Def Jam roster, earlier this summer, and he is now making moves as an independent artist. Ironically, Trinidad James has been more consistent with his releases now, than before. But, according to Trinidad James’ post on Instagram, it looks like he may call one of the Warner Music Group labels home, soon.
