Quickly, August Alsina has become a fan favorite within R&B circles. His career blossomed last year, as his single, “I Luv It,” featuring Trinidad James took off. The song helped to launch Testimony, August Alsina’s debut album, which was released to much fanfare and also included the singles, “Make It Home,” featuring Jeezy, and “No Love.”
August Alsina decided to do a remix of “No Love” and he teamed up with Nicki Minaj. From the moment they began collaborating, August Alsina and Nicki Minaj were rumored to be working on more than music. Both admitted they had bonded, but said it was more brother/sister than lovers.
Returning to New York City, August Alsina was making his media rounds and he stopped by Hot 97 for a visit. When he sat down, August Alsina was grilled by Ebro, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez. He talked about being in a coma for three days and about the Nicki Minaj rumors.
