Two years ago, Elijah Blake rose to fame when he appeared on Game’s Jesus Piece album he dropped in 2012. It turns out, the year of 2012 was a bigger year than most realized for the popular West Coast crooner. Two years ago was also big for Usher, who released an album then and it started with his single, “Climax.”

Usher was a veteran in the game, continuing to dominate the game. On the flipside, Elijah Blake was a newcomer who was still getting footing in the game. A major early co-sign for him came from Game, but he was not the only person turning to Elijah Blake for new hit music.

Elijah Blake recently visited Dash Digital and talked to Nicky G. Here, he revealed he wrote the “Climax” single from Usher. In the interview, Elijah Blake also discussed his new album, Drift, which included him doing a lot of meeting with No I.D., the legendary producer and Def Jam executive.
