HHV Exclusive: Blahz Martell talks New York’s impact on hip hop and his history in the game

Blahz Martell HHVThose who witnessed it can’t deny that there was something special about the 1990s era of hip hop. Life is all about living in the now, especially in this digital era, but love has to be shown for the guys who paved the way. For example, Thaitanium is taking over the game, but guys like Blahz Martell paved the way.

Blahz Martell is a member of the group, Blahzay Blahzay, who rose to prominence in 1996, a rough time in hip hop. This would be the last year both Tupac and Biggie walked the Earth and the only year Jay-Z, Nas, and Tupac dropped albums the same year. Overlooked in history is Blahz Martell and Blahzay Blahzay dropping Blah Blah Blah and “Danger.”

Hip Hop Vibe was present at the Thaitanium show, as was Blahz Martell, who took time out to talk to us. He explained why he came out to show Thaitanium love and he went on to discuss the impact New York, and his native Brooklyn, had on the game. From there, he spoke on his new song with Snoop Dogg, working with M.O.P., and much more.
