Last night, the 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards were on and Shad Moss was right there with his wife-to-be, Erica Mena. Those who know his history know how far Shad Moss has come to be where he is. Right there with him for the ride, as long as he would let them was BET and they made him a part of the family.
First off, without BET, there really is no urban media and no proven audience for something such as Hip Hop Vibe. Secondly, they have provided a platform to bring the entire hip hop community together and benefit everyone. The way they support and embrace the hip hop community, such as giving Shad Moss and Snoop Dogg hosting jobs, shows their love.
In honor of both BET and Shad Moss’ ever-evolving career, the Wednesday Throwback for this week takes it back. Going back to the Jermaine Dupri/Lil’ Bow Wow days, the song for this week is “Puppy Love” from Jagged Edge. The song is taken from his debut album, Beware of Dog and the video features a young Shad throwing game to Solange.
