Often, there is quite a bit of debate about the hip hop scenes in various areas. All in all, this period is good for hip hop, with guys like Saigon finally able to release albums and then, also the Bobby Shmurdas of the world also having success. This shows how much hip hop has to offer, especially with cities such as Denver and Toronto now fielding new stars.
Saigon has had one of the more-interesting journeys to hip hop stardom, signing a lucrative deal and receiving tons of critical acclaim. However, he was shelved for close to a decade and had a role in “Entourage” while waiting on his album to drop. Now, Saigon has three albums out, with his third coming out only a few days ago.
Last year, Saigon appeared on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop” and he made it clear he would not be returning to the show. Recently, Saigon visited Power 105.1 to talk to “The Breakfast Club” with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. He discussed being on the show, the New York sound, Just Blaze, and much more.
