Tracy Obonna 3By Stranga The Great
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

Often, a lot of attention is given to the models who are here, from the United States. No question, America is beautiful and the women here are some of the prettiest in the world, but the Motherland deserves some love, too. Everything originated in Africa, including beauty, and it still lives there.

Tracy Obonna is a native of Nigeria and she is a star in her homeland. She has appeared in several Nollywood films and she has lived in several African countries. A major goal in store for Tracy Obonna is for her to get more footing in the United States and make her name as a Hollywood star.

Sitting down with Hip Hop Vibe, as our latest Hottie of the Week, Tracy Obonna talked about her history in the game. Not only did she explain her Nigerian background, she also spoke on her goals. Working hard, nonstop, on her new projects, Tracy Obonna has what it takes to make it.

Read the entire interview below:

How long have you been modeling? I have been modeling for three years, but now I’m focused more on acting since I’m out of school now and have more time.

You have lived in several different countries, tell us what makes each region distinct from each other? Well being an international woman I find that culture is very important to me, I appreciate and love people of all races. I believe that culture is what makes us feel more connected to one another as a race. What makes this distinct I would say is the languages, their customs, Cuisines and fashion trends. Every culture has its way of doing things.

What expectations do you have when it comes to acting and modeling in the US? I have been doing a lot of Nollywood films in Nigeria, I’m looking to expand my craft in the states and to build my brand and eventually land a Hollywood film.

What do you think it is that makes Nigerian woman so sexy? I think its the fact that we know how to treat our men, we treat them like the Kings that they are. I guess that’s what men find sexy about Nigerian/ African women in general.

Seeing how you played collegiate sports, does athletics give you the same satisfaction as theatrics? Sports was the most enjoyable part of my childhood. I actually got a scholarship to college to play Volleyball. I have a degree in Theater, so as an adult I find that theatre and my love for the arts gives me the greatest satisfaction.

Can you tell us your favorite project that you had an acting role in? When I played an assassin in Temperamental: A Nollywood Film, I had to shoot guns and perform some stunts. It was real authentic and a lot of action in that film so I had to be in good physical condition.

I was told that you have your own cosmetic line. Will you take this time to tell us more about Sediore Cosmetics? Yes, after graduating with my Masters, my family and I launched Sediore Cosmetics. Sediore Cosmetics is a luxury cosmetic line with high end lip sticks, lip gloss, eye shadows, and powders. We also have a skin line with amazing products and we are extending the sediore brand and its products, check out www.Sediore.com for more info.

Are you getting a lot of attention from the fellas and what kind of man are you checking for? Of course, but I’m picky. There isn’t a particular man that I’m looking for. I will tell you this, ambition and drive turns me on, I would love to meet a man that can teach me new things, so I guess you can say knowledge is the new sexy (Laughs).

I want you to paint a picture for me of the perfect seductive evening with Tracy Obonna? I love the beach and the ocean, I love listening to the waves. The perfect evening for me would be to spend time with someone special on the beach by the ocean and having a candle lit dinner with some red wine, some jazz or 80s music playing in the background.
