G-Unit talks Slowbucks, record deals, “Animal Ambition,” and EPs with Funkmaster Flex [AUDIO]

G-Unit Funkmaster FlexSomebody should do a countdown of hip hop’s most-shocking moments of 2014. Close to the top of this list should be the G-Unit reunion, because it was looking like they would never get back together. If anything, it looked like 50 Cent was ready to go to war with all of them.

Suddenly, all the animosity disappeared and G-Unit took over Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2014, with 50 Cent also making peace with Nas. At one point, peace with Ja Rule even seemed possible, but 50 Cent made sure that notion was over after performing some of the G-Unit diss records. The members, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and Young Buck are happy to be back.

G-Unit, which also includes Kidd Kidd, stopped by Hot 97 and made their way to Funkmaster Flex a couple of weeks ago. The group’s freestyle had viral success, but the interview took forever to come. But, the interview is finally out, with the group talking about Slowbucks, being independent, Animal Ambition, and their new music.
