Young Thug talks continuing “Tha Carter” series after Lil Wayne retires with MTV News [VIDEO]

A major indicator of why is because it’s been ten years since Lil Wayne dropped Tha Carter and the babies are finishing up middle school. A lot of time has gone by and Lil Wayne is preparing to drop Tha Carter V, before he retires from the game.

Back when Jay-Z retired from the game, Lil Wayne promised to pick up where he left off, creating an interesting rivalry. No rivalry here, but Young Thug has made the promise to pick up where Lil Wayne left off, with his album being titled Tha Carter VI. Due to his close ties to Cash Money Records, peace should be kept.

Young Thug and Birdman recently talked to Rob Markman from MTV’s MTV News and they spoke on Lil Wayne’s impending retirement. While there will be no more Lil Wayne, there will be much more music. During the interview, Young Thug said he has plans of continuing Tha Carter series.
