DJs have always played an instrumental role in the hip hop world. But, the emergence of both DJ Drama and DJ Khaled brought mainstream attention back to the DJs for the first time in years. This has allowed for such figures as DJ Smallz to emerge and gain their position in the game.
DJ Smallz is behind the Southern Smoke mixtape series and his consistency has made him a go-to DJ in the game. The nonstop mixtape hustle coincided with Yo Gotti’s similar mantra and now they have partnered up. Being on the road with Yo Gotti as the tour DJ has opened up a bigger world for DJ Smallz and now more people know of his hustle.
Recently, DJ Smallz took some time out in Atlanta to network and he ran into DJ Spinz, before running into more forces. So So Def is on the rise and Jermaine Dupri is rebuilding the label around Royce Rizzy. Back in Atlanta, DJ Smallz ran into this new regime and he took photos with both them and Don Cannon.
