Last week, everybody was talking about Onyx, especially after Fredro Starr ended up getting at Charlamagne Tha God. That was one of the funniest interviews that happened since Kanye West talked to Sway back in November. But, Onyx is making their rounds with the media, recently.
Onyx came up at a time when hip hop was going through a transition, which has helped them gain legendary status in the game. The time of their emergence coincided with the likes of Tupac and Biggie. They also had mainstream attention, with Fredro Starr appearing on “Moesha.”
Sway had Onyx on Shade 45 for “Sway In The Morning” last week and they talked about their history with Jam Master Jay. They also talked about Tupac and battle rapping, as Fredro Starr is preparing to battle Keith Murray. Onyx also talked about their fans.
