Common talks “Nobody Smiling,” leaving G.O.O.D. Music, Kanye West, drill movement, and more with “RapFix Live” [VIDEO]

Common Sway MTVThis summer has seen the return of two legends in Common and Cormega. In the case of the former, Common is the legend from Chicago and released his Nobody Smiling album. With this new album, Common made a surprise move when he embraced many of the drill rappers in the game.

Common helped give a major co-sign to Kanye West when he was just establishing himself as a rapper. Along with the release of his debut album, Kanye West launched his G.O.O.D. Music label and Common was one of the first artists on the label. But, his time with the label has come to an end.

Sway invited Common to a special edition of MTV’s “RapFix Live” and he spoke on his new album. Discussing Nobody Smiling, leaving G.O.O.D. Music, Kanye West, the drill movement, and much more. This interview has Common going in-depth about his rededication to Chicago’s hip hop scene.
