Mr. Cheeks HHVBy Tre’ Smith
Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer

Last week, DJ YRS Jerzy featured Lost Boyz’ “Renee” for the Wednesday Throwback and, as fate would have it, Mr. Cheeks soon showed up in North Carolina. Even though the rain didn’t allow for much, Fayetteville hosted Fresh Fest 2014. Among the celebrities showing love was Mr. Cheeks.

Many remember Mr. Cheeks for his role with the Lost Boyz and then his solo work, which began in 2001. In the fall of 2001, Mr. Cheeks dropped the “Lights, Camera, Action!” banger and the John P. Kelly album. Two years later, Lil’ Kim featured Mr. Cheeks on her hit 2003 single, “The Jump Off.”

Mr. Cheeks recently talked to Hip Hop Vibe’s Stranga The Great about his upcoming music. There is a new album in the works from Mr. Cheeks called Raised, which has spawned a couple of singles. When Hip Hop Vibe caught up with Mr. Cheeks, he spoke on this and he shouted out several cities in Eastern North Carolina.
