Uncle Luke accused of stealing “Thick” single with Plies from a young woman

Miami hip hop has played a major role in the national hip hop scene for almost three decades. Although several people are credited for putting Miami hip hop on the map, Uncle Luke was the originator. As the frontman of the 2 Live Crew, Uncle Luke has remained a major player in hip hop.

Recent years have seen Uncle Luke make comments about Lil Wayne and Diddy in addition to being sampled by French Montana. But, it took Plies to put Uncle Luke back out there with some new music. The latest single from Plies, “Thick,” harkens back to the bass days and features Uncle Luke.

Now, Uncle Luke is back in the headlines over the “Thick” single with Plies. It turns out, Uncle Luke brought this record to Plies after someone brought it to him. A woman named Tiyah Isom-Morris took to YouTube to air out Uncle Luke for stealing her record.
