Kendrick Lamar talks sophomore album, making music, TDE, and more with “The Breakfast Club” [VIDEO]

During the summer of 2012, Kendrick Lamar emerged with repeated hits and he helped fully establish the West Coast as a success in 2012. In the years since then, several other artists have risen to the occasion.

Kendrick Lamar released good kid, m.A.A.d. city in 2012 and the album was met with critical acclaim. Despite the success of the album, Kendrick Lamar made it clear he was in no rush to put out a second album. But, it has now been long enough and a new album appears to be in the works.

“The Breakfast Club” trio of DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God were in Miami with 103.5 The Beat this past weekend. They were hosting 103.5 Beatdown 2014 and Kendrick Lamar came through. He discussed his new album, how many albums TDE planned to drop in 2014, and much more.
