Ever since 2011, Troy Ave has said he wants to restore the classic feel to New York hip hop. Ever since, he has done his best to make it happen. His career is just beginning to take off and, like any other person in a good position, he is facing backlash. But, as bad as it has gotten, no other artist has ever been deemed the George Bush of rap.
Most regard George Bush as one of the worst presidents ever, despite his two term reign. Quite similarly, the writer attempted to draw comparisons to the run Troy Ave is just beginning to have in the rap game. As much as someone would say it doesn’t hurt, being insulted that way would hurt, especially after working so hard.
But, feelings do not belong in the rap game, so people get even. There have been several Twitter posts saying the Noisey writer behind the article, Drew Millard, ended up meeting Troy Ave. Presumable meeting at Summer Jam, Troy Ave reportedly roughed Drew Millard up over the article.
