What many don’t realize, especially the natives, is just how much North Carolina has to offer. There is a little bit of everything here with the beach, the mountains, a taste of Hollywood, and beautiful women. Man, there are tons of beautiful women throughout the state of North Carolina.
Lila LaShea is among these beautiful women out here and she is doing a lot more than just showing off her good looks. She represents the capital city of North Carolina, which is Raleigh, and she is paving her own trail. A bit of a singer and a bit of a model, she does it all.
This week, Lila LaShea talked to Hip Hop Vibe for the Hottie of the Week segment and she broke down the position she’s playing. She explained what has attracted her to the industry and what is coming next for her. Lila LaShea has a single in the works that is soon to hit iTunes.

Whats the first thing that should come to a person’s mind when they hear the name Lila LaShea? I’m very open minded and comfy with my body. I find joy in expressing myself through photography it makes me feel in control and sexy. So when you hear the name Lila LaShea just think, “Oh that’s the girl that doesn’t live her life in a box.”
You mentioned that you do Karaoke. What are your favorite songs to sing and tell the truth are you any good? I love Erykah Badu’s “Bag Lady”! I always get the crowd with that one. Another favorite would have to be Rihanna’s “Cheers (Drink to That),” usually fitting in an environment when everyone is getting drunk (Laughs). I love to sing and I’m great at it HONESTLY!
Whats the modeling scene like in Raleigh? Raleigh is an interesting case. The scene is always changing and there are a lot of talented photographers in the area. I enjoy it for the most part but the thought of traveling to other larger markets excites me.
Besides yourself who are some of your favorite models in the industry? Rosa Acosta, Maliah Michel, and Tahiry Jose have been my top three from the beginning. They are very versatile, business minded, and each have unique looks and qualities that set them apart from other models (Smiles).
Whats it been like working with the Fleet DJs? FleetNation! I love Fleet DJs, they are like my family. I’m a huge fan of music and I enjoy when the latest hits and mixes come together and make for good entertainment. It’s an awesome group for networking and we have fun. DJ’s are essential in the entertainment industry. This year’s conference will be amazing. (Atlanta- July 24th-27th).
How tough would you say it is to pursue your career in modeling and still pursue other endeavors? Not tough at all, you make time for what you value and believe in by any means.
If you could make one wish, what would you use it on? If I share my wish, it won’t come true (Smiles), but I will say I’m an avid supporter of legalizing marijuana nationwide (Laughs).
Do you have any upcoming projects already planned? I do! As I mentioned, I have some vocals on me and I have a single titled “Every Time” coming soon to iTunes. It’s a fun dance/pop track that is sure to have you moving. I recently signed with an indie label in Los Angeles so my music project is just launching!
Of course you can expect more hot photo shoots, sponsorships and my goal is to do more promo modeling, print work, and hosting in 2014. I enjoy bringing ideas to life…let me be your muse.
What do you think is your sexiest feature and what is the corniest thing a man has done to get your attention? My sexiest feature is my smile. I can light up a room with that thang (laughs). The corniest thing a man has done to get my attention is probably when he is trying to be someone he’s not. Be yourself because women see right through the fake personality (Laughs).
