This morning, it was announced that the Broccoli City Festival will return for a second annual event. Open to all ages, the Broccoli City Festival will take place during two separate weekends in Washington, DC and Los Angeles. Some of hip hop’s biggest names will be included in the festivities.

There will be live performances from Cam’ron, Just Blaze, Dizzy Wright, and Chuck Inglish, along with many others. Additional performances will be announced closer to the launch date. The Second Annual Broccoli City Festival is going to be hosted by Vashtie.

The purpose of the Broccoli City Festival is to promote living a healthier and more environmentally sustainable lifestyle through cool and relevant campaigns. As the event picks up more support, more members of the hip hop community will be taking place. All of this is very pleasing for the founder of the movement, Brandon McEachern, who issued a statement.

Read Brandon McEachern’s statement below:

“Our message is particularly resonant in the political and entertainment capitals of the world, where BC Fest educates future leaders on making informed decisions about their health and environment.”

The April 19 date coincides with Earth Day in Washington, DC and the May 3 date in Los Angeles is another nice weekend where fans can enjoy the festivities. Attendees will have access to a pop-up marketplace featuring cool and diverse vendors, group yoga and fitness instruction, on-site acupuncture, reikei, massages, live art installations, sneaker cycling center, and the opportunity to join us for a 5K run.
