Queensbridge’s finest, Nas, is widely accepted as one of hip hop’s legends and one of the more notable acts of the past two decades. It’s been twenty years since Nas released his classic debut album, Illmatic, and he’s going stronger than ever. Music has opened several doors for Nas over these two decades.
Most probably wouldn’t associate Nas with being a businessman, but he’s made some solid business moves in recent years. His 2013 acquisition of Mass Appeal magazine is probably one of his most-heralded moves. Yet and still, Nas is an artist first and music remains his canvas.
Holding it down as one of the most unique and intelligent members of the hip hop community, Nas will represent the culture on “Real Time With Bill Maher.” He is not the first rapper to visit HBO to talk to Bill Maher, but Nas also provides an interesting conversation. In actuality, Nas is one of a handful of rappers including Jay-Z to appear on the show.
