Frankie Knuckles, the godfather of House Music, dies at age 59

Over the past couple of years, House Music and EDM have begun to take over the mainstream club scene. Slowly, this new genre of music has been blending into the popular hip hop market. Frankie Knuckles, the legendary Chicago DJ, is responsible for this trend.

Considered by most as the godfather of House Music, Frankie Knuckles has ushered the change into the game. He surely has to be proud to see how big his movement has gotten, especially in recent years. The further evolution of House Music, unfortunately, will have to go on without Frankie Knuckles.

This morning, Frankie Knuckles passed away at the age of 59 years old, forty four years after he started House Music. A native of the Bronx, Frankie Knuckles moved to Chicago and this is where he began his run. But, this morning, Frankie Knuckles has died and the reasons behind his death are unknown at this moment.
