Philadelphia is one of hip hop’s most-interesting homes, as they have provided hitmakers that range from Will Smith to Beanie Sigel. The city of Philadelphia is also noted for the female talent it has produced. Most would consider Eve their biggest success, but there is also Ms. Jade, among others.
The month of March is Women’s History Month and Philadelphia has their own special celebration for it. Sonya McDuffie of Black Maverick Entertainment has made this year’s celebration the biggest yet. She has put together an event that will bring all the ladies in Philadelphia together.
This month, the Official Philly International Women’s History Month is holding a cypher featuring several local femcees. The event will be held at The Legendary Dobbs and is one of the hottest events taking place this month. A cypher, this event will take place on March 27 and many of the big names in the city will be present.
