Before he took over the rap world and later the business world, 50 Cent owned the streets with his mixtapes. His street tracks landed him a deal with Columbia Records and the scheduled release of Power of the Dollar. The infamous shooting stopped this album from being released.

Instead, 50 Cent dropped Power of the Dollar as a mixtape and he followed it up with several other mixtapes. Soon, 50 Cent joined forces with DJ Whoo Kid and the rest is history. After 50 Cent dominated music, he branched out into other forms of business, including media.

Recently, there was a rumor circulating the internet about 50 Cent’s 2014 releases. It was originally intended for 50 Cent to release Street King Immortal and his Animal Ambition mixtape in 2014, but now there are rumors of more. 50 Cent is also rumored to be releasing a remastered version of Power of the Dollar before the end of this year, according to @50Cent_Daily’s post on Twitter.
