Diddy reportedly shut Bad Boy Records down in favor of Revolt TV

Diddy 8One of the most-iconic record labels in hip hop history is Bad Boy Records. They have recently put forth a strong comeback effort. After going through a dry spell, which saw three of their flagship artists abandon the label, Bad Boy Records is seemingly back. French Montana is at the center of the new label.

Despite putting out albums from French Montana and Machine Gun Kelly, while developing Los, profits are still down. During the mid-2000s, the label dealt with disappointing sales from Yung Joc, Danity Kane, Day26, and others. This transition saw them leave Atlantic Records for Interscope Records.

Recently, Diddy has focused most of his energy on his TV network, Revolt TV, and it looks like this will be the primary business he runs. Rumor has it, the profit margin at Bad Boy Records is down and Diddy laid off most of the staff. The ones who remained working for Diddy are being transitioned to the network, according to the rumors.
