Last year, Grand Hustle went through a transition that ended with T.I. signing a deal with Columbia Records. Entering uncharted territory, T.I. made it clear this is not the future home for his company. Days after the Colubmia Records deal, the label was dealt heartbreaking news when Doe B died.

A bright spot during Grand Hustle’s transition was Doe B, who simply had the streets on lock. Representing Alabama, Doe B had an anthem with the “Let Me Find Out” single that only got bigger. The track ended up being remixed and featured added verses from Juicy J and T.I.

T.I. stopped by DJ Greg Street’s show for V-103 in Atlanta and he discussed the details surrounding Doe B’s death. What T.I. detailed was the age-old story of jealousy consuming people over one’s success to the point they decided murder was the best choice. The whole conversation wasn’t a downer, as T.I. premiered his “Why” single during the show.
