The “New West” isn’t so new anymore and a lot of rappers from Los Angeles and other areas out West are blowing up. As it stands right now, Kid Ink is one of the, if not the hottest, rapper coming out of Los Angeles. This week, Kid Ink dropped his mainstream debut album, My Own Lane.
Kid Ink is currently riding the success of his “Show Me” single, featuring Chris Brown. His music has kept the people out in California held down and now the world is able to hear him. As his momentum picks up, Kid Ink boasts the success of his new album.
With the new album out, Kid Ink made his visit to Hot 97 in the middle of his media run. My Own Lane was the topic of discussion, as Kid Ink explained how the tracks on the album came together and his previous music. Before this, Kid Ink put out an independent album and a slew of mixtapes.
