Back in 2011, Maybach Music had a hold on the game because they were signing and branding everybody. One of the latest 2011 signees was Stalley and he’s been the perfect fit within the MMG camp. Rick Ross already said he wanted rappers from all over the country on his label and Stalley represents the Ohio area.
Stalley grew up in the same age group as LeBron James and both are from the Cleveland area. Being in such close proximity and Stalley’s sports background led to them playing basketball against each other. Ironic how both of them would go on to have major success.
Recently, Damon Campbell linked up with Stalley in Detroit and they talked about his high school background. Of course, this led to Stalley telling the story about his times playing against LeBron James. Stalley also told about how he landed with Maybach Music and Curren$y helping to make that into a reality.
